With the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 virus, we hope you and those closest to you are remaining healthy and unaffected. The purpose of this is to share with you our thoughts and the directives we will follow as the events surrounding COVID-19 unfold.
Today, Negwer is fully operational. Measures are being put in place for estimating, order entry, quoting, customer service, accounting, etc. to be done remotely if the need develops. Should things change and businesses like ours are required to close, we will take every measure we can to communicate those changes as efficiently as possible to reduce the overall impact on your business.
Our team members and customers are at the center of everything we do and the health and safety of everyone we interact with is a priority. Given the seriousness and fluidity of the situation, we are following all published guidelines from the CDC regarding sanitization and social distancing within all our locations. With that in mind, we have established the following changes to our business:
- We instituted a process to reduce surface touching, while still having proof of receipt for materials.
- We are asking Customers to utilize email, phone, and text communications for orders and will-call pick-ups.
- We have designated team member work areas to enforce strict social distancing and sanitation measures.
- Increased cleaning frequency of our facilities has been implemented, with cleaning supplies readily available across all workspaces and common areas.
- We have canceled or postponed all vendor/supplier visits, meetings or events in our locations and customer office visits, meetings, and events for the foreseeable future unless these are declared “Business Essential”.
- An example of a business essential meeting would be a problem with material at a job site. When these occur, we will make an appointment and follow all guidelines to make the visit as minimally invasive as possible.
Everyone on our team is working to ensure you receive your orders on time. Today, lead times remain normal and we are collaborating closely with our vendors to ensure we can continue to meet your delivery expectations. If the situation changes and there are shortages of materials or delays in shipments, we will provide prompt communication. We encourage you to review your project schedules for Q2 and Q3 2020 and keep us aware of job site needs, conditions and changes in schedule. We will do everything possible to keep your project moving forward including those requiring additional services such as weekends or off-hours deliveries (premium time charges will apply).
We are accepting orders via phone, texts, email, and fax. Our staff stands ready to deliver materials for your projects. For will-call or customer pick up orders, we ask you please call or email ahead with an estimated arrival time, if possible, so material can be staged and ready to be loaded to minimize exposure to all parties. Upon arrival, please call that location’s office and we will provide pick-up instructions. During the loading process, please do not leave your vehicle until our crew members have cleared the area. Once cleared, please feel free to leave your vehicle and secure your load.
We thank you for your business and being by our side as we navigate through the days and weeks ahead. Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to your local branch, salesperson, or any member of our leadership team.
